Our 30th Anniversary celebration is over. A lot of work and a lot of fun too. I heard many
positive comments about our show and I think it just reinforces what we already know: we have a wonderful guild and in working together we make a great team! Thank you all for making this year’s show a success.
Now we should start thinking about next year. Seriously, have you got a quilt or two in the works? You know, May will be here before you know it! Don’t slack off now. I find that summer is a great time to put tops together and winter is best for sitting under the basted layers and keeping warm while quilting. How about auction quilts? We had a wonderful response to this year’s auction. I just spoke with Pat and she is already working on a quilt for next year. What a great idea! Keep those creative juices flowing and keep stitching.

Quilt Show Check In/Out, to every one who helped, you were all great!!!! Clyde Lockhart, a guild member’s husband, came in to assist and it was appreciated. Then came time to get the quilts back to the quilters, and again GREAT bunch of volunteers to fold the quilts and get them back to the rightful owners. Great job everyone.

ATTENTION GUILD MEMBERS: Our very first home tour is just around the corner with very few months left for planning and getting it all ready. We need you, your quilts, your auction quilts, your participation in volunteering in being hostess in the homes of the guild members who have graciously volunteered their lovely homes where all your quilts will be prominently displayed throughout the homes across furniture, coffee tables, dining room tables, china cabinets, doorway, stairwells, balconies, pianos, couches, overstuffed chairs etc etc etc, you name it wherever we can show your beauties but you have to come forth and help out in order to make it a big success, without your help we cannot do it as a small committee.
